Using working group home page

  • Log in as a “group member”
    • Type in user name & password
    • Be sure to select a working group!
    • Click on “go”
  • Emailing to all members
    • Once you are logged in, go to your working group home page
    • A new window will appear under this list of working group members names
    • Enter your subject, message, and hit “send” to email to all group members
    • To email to an individual in the group simply click on their name in the members list
Searching and downloading files
  • Go to “document search” and use key words and/or drop down menus to narrow your search
  • Hit “search”
  • A new window will appear with search results. Symbol of people indicates that document is public, lock indicates that it is restricted to your group
  • To download file go to the bottom of the description and find your document under “downloads”
  • The document should have a live link when you scroll over it. click on this link and open the file
Uploading files and posting data
  • At the top of the page click on “administrator”
  • A new window will appear
  • Go to “file to upload” and click on “browse”. Use the browse function to find the item you would like to upload to the site
  • Click on “upload”
Using post data to categorize uploaded files
  • Once the file is uploaded click on “post data” under “links and publications” (if you are uploading metadata and maps, click on “post data” under this field)
  • In the new window fill in all fields that have a red asterisk to describe your document (be sure to select the most appropriate type of publication using the drop down menu to facilitate faster searching later)
  • Select if you would like this document to be available to the public or for search inside groups (no selection defaults to public)
  • At the bottom of this page will be a list of documents that your description can be applied to
  • Click on the document you have described (this will highlight the document)
  • Click on submit
  • A new window telling you that you have successfully uploaded a document should appear
Updating featured projects using “group administrator” function
  • You must be assigned the group administrator role, typically reserved for regional co-chairs
  • To update featured project go to
  • Administrator page
  • Edit/delete group
  • Select group to edit and click “edit”
  • New window will appear which can be changed
